Who is on the ballot in the next election? How to register to vote? ...and more

May 2 - An election to fill the 3 at-large seats on Lynchburg City Council. Deadline for registering to vote is April 3

To vote absentee ballot for the City Council election, you may:

1. Come to the Registrar's Office, lower level of the DMV on Odd Fellows Rd., Monday through Friday between 8:30 am abd 5 pm OR Saturday, 4/22/06 or Saturday, 4/29/06, 9 am until 5 pm. You will fill out the application and also vote your ballot at that time.

2, Call the Registrar at 847-1609 to have an absentee ballot application mailed to you. The completed application must be received in the Registrar's Office by Thursday, 4/27/06, via mail or fax.

3. Download an absentee ballot application from http://www.sbe.virginia.gov. Mail it to: General Registrar, 3236 odd Fellows Rd, 24506, or fax it to 947-2798. The completed application must be received in the Registrar's Office by Thursday, 4/27/06, via mail or fax.

Your ballot must be returned to the Registrar's Office by 7 pm on Election Day, May 2.
